Spain condemns attacks against Jordan

The Government of Spain condemns the missile attacks launched by Iran against Jordanian territory. Spain expresses its full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its Government and its people, and reiterates its firmest support for its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

These attacks increase the risk of escalation in the region and constitute a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law. Spain calls for an end to the violence. Only negotiation and diplomacy can guarantee lasting peace and stability in the region.
