Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 12, 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, announced the large-scale commercialization of its comprehensive FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) solution in July 2025. Jointly promoted with leading Indonesian fiber optic internet provider MyRepublic Indonesia and digital content platform MetaX, the project leverages an innovative tripartite collaboration model to address a key challenge in emerging markets - balancing high investment with low returns during media service upgrades.
To address the heavy capital expenditure required for Southeast Asian operators to upgrade their services, the three parties have established a clearly defined partnership structure. Under this model, ZTE delivers a comprehensive technical framework encompassing content distribution, terminal management, and service assurance. MetaX spearheads content integration, offering a library of over 90 live channels and extensive on-demand content, while also managing the advertising revenue-sharing system.
MyRepublic Indonesia focuses on user engagement, and the operation and maintenance of the network services. This innovative business model enables operators to enhance content offerings and share in advertising revenue without incurring additional hardware investment, establishing a sustainable path to boosting ARPU (Average Revenue Per User). This collaboration reinforces MyRepublic Indonesia's commitment as the leading fiber-optic internet provider in Indonesia, delivering not only the best connectivity but also limitless digital entertainment for our customers.
This commercialization marks the successful landing of the ad-supported streaming model in Indonesia's mainstream market. Backed by ZTE's end-to-end operation support system deployed, MyRepublic Indonesia now delivers stable, high-definition streaming services tailored to local cultural characteristics. MetaX's advertising revenue-sharing mechanism enables operators to earn revenue beyond content for the first time, while ZTE's technical framework ensures the service quality for millions of users. The tripartite cooperation has verified the commercial closed-loop of "zero-cost content expansion - advertising revenue sharing - user experience upgrade".
Hendra Gunawan, Chief Technology Officer of MyRepublic Indonesia, stated: "This solution accurately responds to our urgent need to balance service upgrading and cost control. Relying on ZTE's technical architecture and MetaX's content advertising system, we have accessed more than 90 live channels without any new investment and opened up a new revenue source through advertising revenue sharing. With this collaboration, MyRepublic takes entertainment to the next level by introducing FAST Channel in Indonesia".
Ryan Chi, General Manager of MetaX, emphasized: "The localized content library and advertising revenue sharing system we have built have created the feasibility of zero-cost upgrading for operators. This cooperation has proven that by accurately matching the preferences of Indonesian audiences with the needs of advertisers, we can achieve dual improvements in user value and commercial revenue."
Liu Qun, General Manager of Digital Home Product Line at ZTE, pointed out: "The core value of the project lies in solving the dilemma faced by operators, wondering to upgrade but hesitant due to high investment. ZTE's technical framework, seamlessly integrated with MetaX's advertising ecosystem, creates a deep complementarity, enabling MyRepublic Indonesia to initiate service transformation with zero risk. This collaboration paradigm serves as a valuable reference for the Southeast Asian market."
