In its 225th year, the Chamber introduces a new identity and welcomes Jefferson CEO Joseph G. Cacchione, MD, as incoming Board Chair
PHILADELPHIA (October 23, 2026) -The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia today announced that it is now the Greater Philadelphia Chamber, unveiling a new name and brand identity before more than 1,300 business, civic, and community leaders at its 2026 Annual Meeting. The new identity arrives in the Chamber's 225th year and reflects its growing role in driving job creation, investment, and economic opportunity across the region.
The new name and logo, revealed on stage alongside a new brand video, honor the Chamber's history since its founding by Philadelphia merchants in 1801 while signaling an open, forward-looking future. The rebrand is the outward marker of changes already underway: a regional voice through collaboration with the Greater Philadelphia Growth Partnership, data-backed research, a proactive legislative agenda, and a wider commitment to middle market, and diverse-owned businesses.
Held in the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the event celebrated the region's business community under the theme "Greater Together." Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Chellie Cameron delivered the keynote, joined by outgoing Board Chair Christopher H. Franklin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Essential Utilities, and incoming Board Chair Joseph G. Cacchione, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Jefferson
"Our new strategic direction is 'Greater Together,' built on the belief that when one member succeeds, our entire region benefits," said Cameron. "This new identity reflects who we are today: a Chamber focused on creating connections, delivering insights, and advancing policies that help businesses grow. While our name has evolved, our mission remains the same: driving job and business growth in Greater Philadelphia."
The Greater Philadelphia Chamber's new visual identity rolls out today across its website, chamberphl.com, and social media channels, @chamberphl.
The event also marked a leadership transition for the Chamber's Board of Directors, with the first appearance of Cacchione as new Board Chair.
"Serving as Board Chair during this period of transformation has been a privilege," said Franklin. "Together, we strengthened the Chamber's role as a regional convener, helped advance the launch of the Growth Partnership, and expanded our voice on issues that matter to businesses. The new Greater Philadelphia Chamber is building from a position of strength, and I am excited to see what comes next."
"The unveiling of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our business community," said Cacchione. "As Board Chair, I look forward to working alongside members and partners across the 11-county region to advance economic growth, attract investment, and create opportunities that strengthen our competitiveness and improve quality of life throughout Greater Philadelphia."
