Blaine Bridge Update – 12/4/2025

Blaine Hill Bridge Project Update - nearing the next milestone

NEW PHILADELPHIA - Since September 26, 2025, when the final beam was removed from the bridge, the contractor has been working diligently to prepare it for the installation of new beams. This preparation has included necessary repairs to the structure, including patching the piers, replacing several floor beams across the bridge, pouring new concrete for the columns above the arches that support the floor beams, and other associated work.

On Monday, December 8, the first delivery of the new box beams for the bridge will arrive, and the contractor will begin installing them, a process that will take several weeks. This marks another significant milestone on the project.

Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses. The bridge is expected to reopen in the summer of 2026.
