Veto Session starts next week! Here's what to expect:
* Democrats are once again talking about "budget shortfalls," but the truth is this stems from years of reckless spending.
* Governor Pritzker has increased state spending by nearly 40% and signed a record $55.2 billion budget in July.
* Instead of cutting waste, Democrats are pushing a new taxes on more than 80 everyday services to bail out Chicago's failing transit systems.
* Families need relief, not new taxes.
Here's what I will be focusing on this veto session:
* Real tax relief for working families and small businesses
*Working to make everyday life more affordable for all Illinoisans
* Ending dangerous sanctuary state policies that strain local resources & leave communities vulnerable to rising crime
* Supporting & working with law enforcement to make our communities safer
Stay tuned to my official Facebook and Instagram for updates throughout Veto Session!

CPD's Refusal to Help Federal Agents
As a police officer with nearly two decades of service, I was deeply disturbed by reports that Chicago Police officers were ordered not to assist federal agents under attack during a recent anti-ICE protest. Hearing the 911 audio where fellow officers pleading for help while being boxed in and assaulted was gut-wrenching.
I will continue to speak out against this dangerous trend and stand with those who put on the badge to serve and protect.

State of New Lenox Address
It was an honor to attend the State of New Lenox address headlined by Mayor Tim Baldermann and other local elected leaders. It was refreshing to hear about the exciting progress in our community. I'm proud to represent the constituents of the village and township of New Lenox.
