National behaviour survey reports: 2021 and 2022 academic years

These reports present the findings from the first and second national behaviour surveys, for the 2021 to 2022 and 2022 to 2023 academic years.

The data for the national behaviour survey is collected through the omnibus surveys. We collected additional data for the 2022 to 2023 national behaviour survey through the parent, pupil and learner panel and the school and college panel surveys in May 2023. We have included this in the data tables for May 2023.

The reports cover schools in England, including:

  • primary and secondary local-authority-maintained schools
  • primary and secondary academies and free schools
  • all-through local-authority-maintained schools
  • all-through academies

We collected the data from multiple respondent groups, including:

  • school leaders
  • teachers
  • pupils
  • parents and carers
