Kinross’ Toronto office employees ‘lace up their skates’ in support of the Troy Trauma Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital

In March, members of Kinross' corporate headquarters in Toronto, Canada, laced up their skates to face off against several teams across a variety of industries throughout the city for the inaugural Sunnybrook Hospital Hockey Tournament in support of the Troy Trauma Centre at Sunnybrook.

In addition to our employee's participation and donations toward the tournament, Kinross Gold provided a $10,000 donation in support of Sunnybrook's Troy Trauma Centre, with team members raising an additional ~$10,000, bringing the grand total raised to just under $20,000.

The Troy Trauma Program is Canada's first and largest trauma centre and a global leader in the treatment of trauma, burns and critical care. The facility treats the greatest number of critically ill and injured patients in the country, with approximately one third of trauma patients in Ontario being treated at Sunnybrook. This includes patients airlifted from Northern and remote communities in Ontario through a donor-funded rooftop helipad.
