ENGIE and Ares Expand Renewables Partnership With 730 MW of Operating U.S. Solar and Wind Assets

ENGIE North America (ENGIE) and Ares Infrastructure Opportunities announced they are growing their partnership by adding a 730 MW portfolio of existing U.S. solar and wind projects, consisting of one wind farm and two solar plants operating on the Texas (ERCOT) grid. ENGIE will retain majority ownership and continue to operate and manage the assets.

Orrick advised ENGIE in the deal.

ENGIE North America is part of the ENGIE Group, a global leader in the energy transition. ENGIE is committed to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy, investing more than $10 billion annually to advance the energy transition and achieve its net zero carbon goal by 2045.

THE IMPACT
