TAMPA, FL. (JANUARY 10, 2026) - -On Saturday, January 10, 2026, at approximately 1:20 am, Tampa Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Sanchez St.

Officers arrived to find a black male in his late 30s with upper body trauma and immediately provided first aid. Tampa Fire Rescue transported the man to a nearby hospital where he is now listed in stable, but critical condition.

While very early in this investigation, preliminary information suggests the shooting was not random. Detectives continue to gather evidence and develop leads that will help determine what led to the shooting and identifying all parties involved.
