FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles - California Policy Center proudly congratulates attorney Julie Hamill on her new role at the United States Attorney's Office, Central District of California in Los Angeles. Hamill will be serving as a Civil Rights Assistant United States Attorney under U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli.

During her tenure with California Policy Center (CPC), Hamill founded the California Justice Center, a public interest law firm supported by CPC to defend the constitutional rights of Californians. Under her leadership, the Justice Center secured key victories protecting the free speech and parental rights of Californians.

"Julie is an outstanding attorney whose dedication to protecting individual rights has already made a lasting impact in California," said Will Swaim, president of California Policy Center. "The people of California will be in good hands with Julie defending their civil rights. She is driven by a genuine commitment to safeguarding the freedoms of every American."

"While we hate to lose a fighter like Julie, we're thrilled that someone with her talent and tenacity will now be defending the civil rights of Californians," said Swaim. "She will make an incredible addition to the U.S. Attorney's Office, and we couldn't be happier to see her working alongside another tremendous talent, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli. Together, they will be a formidable team for the people of California."

With the success of the California Justice Center, CPC is now working to build on that momentum and expand the Justice Center's capacity to serve Californians.
