Elektro-Monorack Supports Agritourism Project in the Cinque Terre

Above Monterosso al Mare, a unique agritourism project is taking shape on the grounds of Società Agricola Musica del Mare SRL. The farmland is located in the Cinque Terre region, directly along the famous Sentiero Azzurro hiking trail, and is difficult to access due to its steep topography.

An orange grove on the property is being redesigned. At the same time, historic houses overlooking the sea are being renovated, and a bar is being set up along the hiking trail. A Garaventa Monorack is being used to provide access to the grove, the accommodations, and the bar.

Transport Solution for Steep Terrain

The Monorack enables the transport of people and materials across challenging terrain. The system follows the steep contours of the terrain and directly connects the various areas of the site.

Garaventa built the Monorack in collaboration with the local winegrowers' cooperative. A distinctive feature of the system is its electric drive. It is the first electric Monorack in the region.

In this way, the facility supports agricultural operations while also facilitating access to the emerging agritourism offerings above Monterosso al Mare.
