Citi Announces 21st Annual Citi China Conference to explore the emerging forces shaping the future economy and their related opportunities

SHANGHAI - Citi today announced that it will host its 21st Annual Citi China Conference from November 10 to November 13, 2026. The flagship event expects to welcome 1,500 global institutional investors, regulatory policymakers, and corporate leaders in Shanghai and Shenzhen to discuss key forces shaping China and the global economy, and to share perspectives on macroeconomic trends, policy developments, innovation and emerging market opportunities.

The 2026 conference follows Citi's landmark milestone in China - the recent approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to establish its wholly owned securities company, Citigroup Securities (China) Company Limited (CSCCL). CSCCL will offer onshore equities brokerage, securities underwriting, securities research and principal trading services to domestic and foreign clients, which will be central to this year's market-entry and capital-raising strategy discussions.

Jane Fraser, Citi's Chair and Chief Executive Officer, will participate in the Conference and join discussions on China's role in the global economy and the opportunities emerging from its continued development. The Conference reflects Citi's ongoing commitment to connecting global investors and corporations with strategic opportunities in China through the strength of its global network and local expertise.

Marc Luet, Citi's Head of Japan, Asia North and Australia, said: "China remains one of Citi's most important markets and continues to offer significant opportunities for companies and investors. Our annual China Conference provides a vital bridge connecting global capital with China's domestic market opportunities. As we actively deepen our onshore footprint through the establishment of our new securities business, this conference serves as an essential forum to help clients, investors and businesses navigate the changing cross-border corridors."

"China's resilience, innovation, and long-term growth potential continue to create compelling opportunities. Leveraging Citi's global network, we connect China with the world, helping multinational companies succeed in China while supporting Chinese enterprises in their global expansion. Citi remains committed to providing leading cross-border banking and capital markets solutions to help clients achieve their strategic ambitions," said Wenjie Zhang, Citi China Country Officer and Banking Head.
