On June 6-7, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia reopened its doors to the public as part of "Doors Open Ottawa 2026", welcoming around 800 visitors.
The event offered guests an opportunity to explore the Embassy building's architectural features and vibrant Armenian cultural heritage.
A special attention was given to the enduring friendship and unwavering bond between Armenia and Canada, reflected in robust people-to-people contacts and strong legacy, established by different Canadian-Armenians within their diverse arts and crafts - cherished and celebrated by Armenians, Canadians, and many other peoples.
The guests were introduced to the elements of the "Armenia Immortal" monument (in front of the Embassy), famous Canadians of Armenian descent, rich traditions of Armenian letter art, cross-stone art (khachkar), illuminated manuscripts, miniature paintings, music, photography, architecture, sculpture art, and engineering.
The Embassy building itself, recognized with a Heritage Designation by Ottawa City Hall in 2007, stood as a key attraction during the weekend, showcasing the architectural significance and continued diplomatic presence of Armenia in Canada's capital.
The Embassy of Armenia extends its gratitude to all who visited and looks forward to participating in future editions of Doors Open Ottawa.
