Storm Alert – Tropical Storm Isaias

Tropical Storm Isaias formed in the southern Gulf early Wednesday and is expected to strengthen quickly into a hurricane by Thursday. The storm is currently located about 580 miles southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River, with sustained winds of 40 mph.

Isaias is forecast to turn sharply north and reach the northern Gulf Coast as a Category 2 hurricane, with landfall expected late Friday or early Saturday anywhere from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. Florida has declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm.

Heavy rain is expected to begin Friday, with 3 to 6 inches of rain and isolated totals up to 10 inches from southeastern Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. Flash flooding, damaging winds, storm surge, and tornadoes are all possible as the storm comes ashore. Heavy rain may then spread inland across the Southeast over the weekend.

What This Means for Operations

Mansfield will continue to monitor Tropical Isaias, terminal operations, regional fuel inventories, road conditions, and transportation networks across affected regions. We are actively communicating with customers and delivery partners to prevent any potential delivery disruptions.

We do not anticipate widespread fuel supply interruptions and will communicate any operational impacts on fuel deliveries or product availability as conditions evolve.

Mansfield will continue to monitor Isaias and keep customers informed as the forecast develops.
