EU Diplomatic Programme for the Enlargement Region

Following the successful launch of the European Union Diplomatic Programme for the Enlargement Region at the beginning of the year, the College of Europe has published a new call for applications to join the third edition of the programme, which is expected to run from 1st February until end of June 2026.

This programme, funded by the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) and implemented by the College of Europe, has the overall objective to foster regional cooperation among junior diplomats and/or officials of the enlargement region and their EU peers and strengthening their knowledge in EU affairs. The curriculum includes joint activities with the EU Diplomatic Academy, opened to EU Member States' diplomats.

The initiative is especially tailored towards junior diplomats and/or officials working in the field of foreign policy and EU accession from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, theRepublic of Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Türkiye. In the first and second editions of the Programme, 22 junior diplomats already embarked on this unique opportunity to further enhance their skills and deepen their understanding of the EU and its enlargement policy.

Candidates interested to join the programme are invited to apply by 15 November 2025 (18:00 CET).
