Florida 15 Congressional Art Competition Winner

Tampa, FL - Sunday, Representative Laurel Lee proudly hosted the annual Congressional Art Competition in Florida's 15th Congressional District, recognizing the creativity and talent of student artists from across the community.

Rep. Laurel Lee announced Satwika Devireddy as the winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Florida's 15th District. Her piece, "Halfway Home," is a self-portrait reflecting her personal journey of feeling divided between her home country, India, and her new life in America.

Students from throughout the district submitted a wide range of impressive artwork, showcasing their unique artistic capabilities. This is a nationwide program that gives high school students the opportunity to share their creativity. It is a great way to celebrate young artists from every congressional district.

"It was wonderful to welcome these talented students and their families to celebrate the incredible creativity we have throughout our district," said Congresswoman Laurel Lee. "Satwika's piece is especially meaningful, capturing a deeply personal story of strength and identity that can resonate with so many people. I congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and am incredibly proud of all the students who participated."

As the district winner, Satwika's artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol alongside artwork from congressional districts across the country, representing the talent of Florida's 15th District.
