Watch Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey', explore Homer's themes with WWU professors July 25

Professor of English Stefania Heim and Associate Professor of Global Humanities and Religions Daniel Picus will be iintroducing Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" at the Pickford on July 25. Heim and Picus will then host a discussion on the film as an adaption of Homer's "Odyssey" in the Pickford lobby. The discussion is open to the public and will begin at approximately 7 p.m.

Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" follows Odysseus, the legendary Greek king of Ithaca, on his long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War, chronicling his encounters with mythical beings such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, Sirens and the nymph Calypso, while attempting to reunite with his wife, Penelope.
