Liquid Gas Europe has submitted its response to the European Commission's consultation on the Citizens' Energy Package. Our position stresses the importance of ensuring a fair and inclusive energy transition, particularly for the 137 million Europeans living in rural and off-grid areas who face a higher risk of energy poverty. We highlight the role of renewable liquid gases-bioLPG and renewable DME-as affordable, scalable solutions that can deliver immediate emissions reductions and cost savings without costly infrastructure changes. LGE calls on the Commission to adopt a technology-neutral approach in implementing ETS II and other policies, ensuring all consumers have access to the full toolbox of clean energy solutions.
