Norton Rose Fulbright advises Polish energy technology specialist ZPUE on the acquisition of BWTS

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised ZPUE S.A., a subsidiary of the Koronea Family Office, on the acquisition of BWTS GmbH from its previous shareholders. This transaction marks an important strategic step to strengthen ZPUE's market position in Western Europe and prepare its entry into the French market.

ZPUE is a Polish industrial company specializing in electrical power engineering. It develops and manufactures transformer stations, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, energy storage systems, and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The company is a market leader in Poland and is expanding into European markets. ZPUE is part of the Koronea Group (Family Office of the Wypychewicz family), which oversees strategic direction and international expansion. Current priorities include solutions for the energy transition, e-mobility, and green energy.

The acquisition of BWTS and its affiliated companies BWTS France and VRT Nord GmbH is ZPUE's first major acquisition in Europe and underscores the growing importance of the company in the energy and infrastructure sector.

Lead Dr Wenzel Richter (Corporate, Munich) commented:

"We are delighted to have supported Koronea Family Office in this strategically significant transaction in the European energy sector. The acquisition is a milestone for ZPUE's expansion in Europe and demonstrates how legal expertise and strategic advice go hand in hand."
