Revenue in the Age of AI: Our Investment in Actively AI

State of Play

Every day, go-to-market (GTM) teams make hundreds of decisions about where to focus: which accounts need attention, which signals matter, what to do next, and who should do it. Those decisions are still shaped by instinct, fragmented memory, and whatever context happens to surface across multiple disparate tools. Meanwhile, in coding, legal, and customer support, AI has become a real partner: systems that know the codebase, know the case, know the product. GTM teams still lack a comparable intelligence layer, despite companies often spending 30 to 40 cents of every revenue dollar on GTM. Plenty of AI products have entered the category. None have produced what we believe a revenue team actually needs: a system that can hold the full context of every customer relationship, reason about what it means, and provide an entire organization with the intelligence to maximize revenue.

Intelligence-Led Revenue

Actively AI is building that system and introducing a new primitive for GTM: a persistent AI agent for every account. Together, these agents enable Intelligence-Led Revenue. The architecture is straightforward but new: every account in a company's market receives a dedicated AI agent that runs continuously, with context from across the revenue organization. That agent does the work a GTM team would do if time and attention weren't a constraint. It researches the account, identifies opportunities, forms a strategy, and helps move work forward. It doesn't pause when the team goes home. New calls, emails, and signals get folded into the agent's understanding of the account, and that understanding compounds every day.

What this enables is a different operating model for revenue teams. Context doesn't evaporate when ownership changes or an account transfers. Signals don't wait for someone to notice them. Workflows that used to take hours of manual stitching can be created in plain English.

Actively AI is already trusted by some of the most sophisticated enterprise revenue teams at companies like Samsara, Ramp, Ironclad, and Attentive. What we find most telling is not where the platform is deployed, but how broadly it spreads within those organizations: across roles, workflows, and the full customer lifecycle. We believe the best indication that something is a platform and not just a product is when customers not only use it, but also begin to build on top of it.

Blending AI Expertise and First Principles Thinking

We were drawn to co-founders Mihir Garimella and Anshul Gupta from our first meeting. The pair met at Stanford, where Mihir studied Computer Science with a focus on human-in-the-loop AI and Anshul earned a master's in AI. Rather than building another workflow tool, they started from a more fundamental question: what does a revenue organization actually need to get smarter over time? Their answer, that the missing piece was a new foundation for how revenue operates rather than another application, reflects the kind of first principles thinking that has served many of TCV's best founders well over the decades. What we believe sets them apart is the discipline behind the answer. In a category where competitors are racing to automate the next task, Mihir and Anshul have stayed focused on building the foundation underneath. They've assembled a team that shares this same mindset.

Our Partnership with Actively AI

We're thrilled to announce that TCV is leading Actively AI's Series B alongside First Harmonic, Bain Capital Ventures, First Round Capital, and Alkeon. We believe the shift from systems of engagement to true systems of intelligence is one of the most important transitions underway in enterprise software, and we have rarely encountered a platform where customers are as excited about where the product is going as they are about the value it already delivers. We look forward to supporting Mihir, Anshul, and the entire Actively AI team as they continue to build. If you're interested in learning more, please visit the company's website.
