Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets Secretary General of Collective Security Treaty Organization
06 April 2026On April 6, 2026 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the new Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Taalatbek Masadykov.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister congratulated Taalatbek Masadykov on his appointment to a high position and assured him of Belarus' support.
During the conversation, an interested exchange of views took place on topical issues on the international agenda, with a focus on the military-political situation in the CSTO area of responsibility.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between the CSTO and other international organizations dealing with security issues at the regional and global levels, primarily with the United Nations.
He noted the need to intensify the collective efforts of the CSTO member states in order for the Organization to meet current geopolitical realities and be able to effectively respond to modern challenges and threats to security.
