Investing in Chicago's Future: City Colleges of Chicago Featured in JPMorgan Chase Impact Brief

City Colleges of Chicago and the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation are featured as a case study in a new report that highlights how collaboration helps to shape Chicago's future. City Colleges works to strengthen Chicago's talent pipeline and create greater economic mobility for Chicagoans, while the CCC Foundation works to scale programs and initiatives with the greatest impact. JPMorgan Chase has thrown philanthropic support behind three such key initiatives:

  • Chicago Roadmap: An unprecedented partnership among Chicago Public Schools (CPS), City Colleges, and the University of Illinois Chicago designed to make the transition from high school to college and careers more seamless.
  • One Million Degrees: A coaching and mentoring model that has directly impacts 2,500 City Colleges students annually, where participating students attempted 2.3xmore credits, earned 3.2x more credits, and were 2.6x more likely to return for the Spring semester after starting in the fall than peers who did not participate in the City Colleges-OMD program.
  • Work-based Learning: Connecting training to real work experience and jobs, City Colleges supports approximately 4,700 work-based learning opportunities annually (from clinical rotations to internships and apprenticeships).

Both City Colleges of Chicago and the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation are grateful for the partnership, the collaboration, and the support of JPMorgan Chase.
