Celebrating Service Through Connection: Comcast and USO Host Gaming Tournament for Service Members

Comcast's partnership with the USO is rooted in a shared mission to strengthen the well-being of our nation's service members, veterans, and military families. As a sponsor of USO Gaming, we help power a global network that gives troops and their families opportunities to play, compete, and build community-no matter where they're stationed. For service members who are often separated from loved ones or adjusting to new environments, gaming provides a familiar outlet that fosters connection, camaraderie, and morale.

According to the 2025 Veterans Survey by the Entertainment Software Association, 86% of veterans say video games provide a healthy outlet for stress and anxiety, 81% say they help them cope during difficult times, and 77% say games help them stay connected with others.

"Gaming is a powerful connector for service members who often serve far from home or move frequently," saidCallum Fletcher, Senior Director, USO Global Gaming Operations. "By partnering with Comcast, we can use technology to reach service members in meaningful ways. Together, we're helping them unwind, reconnect, and know that their sacrifices are seen and valued."

Comcast proudly sponsored Homecoming 250 in honor of our founder, Ralph Roberts, a Navy veteran whose service inspired a legacy of connection and commitment that continues to guide our company today. From expanding broadband access in military communities to creating special experiences for veterans and their families, our dedication to those who serve remains central to our mission.
