7P MDM listed in BSI certification process – Approval for VS-NfD as objective

Cologne, 3.11.2026. SEVEN PRINCIPLES AG (7P) announces that its Mobile Device Management solution, 7P MDM, has been officially listed in the certification process of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). Upon successful certification, 7P MDM will be approved for use with classified information at the VS-NfD classification level.

Mobile devices have become indispensable in everyday working life. Particularly in government authorities, public institutions and critical infrastructure (KRITIS), smartphones and tablets place special demands on IT security, data protection and the control of sensitive information. Secure, centrally managed device administration is therefore essential.

With the official listing of 7P MDM in the BSI certification process, the solution takes an important step further. The process involves an independent review under the European EUCC certification scheme, assessing whether the solution meets the defined security requirements of the international Common Criteria standard (ISO/IEC 15408, CC:2022) at evaluation assurance level EAL4.

Why this matters for the public sector

Federal and state authorities, as well as KRITIS operators, must ensure that mobile devices are reliably managed and that sensitive information is protected against unauthorised access. A key objective of the ongoing process is therefore the approval of 7P MDM for use with classified information at the VS-NfD level. For authorities and organisations with high security requirements, this approval is of central importance.

7P MDM is a solution developed and operated entirely in Europe, combining central device management, data protection and technological independence. It is designed to meet the requirements of KRITIS regulations, NIS2 and the GDPR. When operated on-premises within their own infrastructure, companies and public organisations retain control over their mobile devices and data.

"With the BSI certification process now under way, we are laying the foundation for authorities and KRITIS operators to use 7P MDM without compromise on security or sovereignty."
Heiko Rosen-Heinovski, Head of MDM, SEVEN PRINCIPLES GROUP

Our goal

With the ongoing certification process, we aim to have the security of our solution confirmed through independent review. Our objective is to validate the high standards of our already secure, scalable and European MDM solution through official certification, thereby formally demonstrating our capabilities in IT security and digital sovereignty.

Authorities and KRITIS operators who wish to plan their procurement early are welcome to contact us now.
