The Consent Code: Building a Culture of Respect

"Fostering Understanding: Sexual Consent, Relationships, and Respect in Healthcare Education and Practice"

Join Erin McElyea, Civil Engagement Officer in the Office of Compliance, for an informative seminar designed to engage the entire UT Health Sciences community - including students, faculty, staff, and health care professionals - in meaningful discussions about sexual consent, healthy relationships, and fostering a culture of respect. The session will address these topics through relatable examples and specific case scenarios relevant to academic and professional healthcare settings. By the end of this session, participants will gain practical tools to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics while promoting safety, respect and professionalism.
