Zion National Park Announces 2026 Artists-in-Residence

SPRINGDALE, Utah - Three artists have been selected to participate in the 2026 Artist-in-Residence program in Zion National Park. These selectees were chosen by park staff in partnership with Zion Forever Project, the park's non-profit partner.

The 2026 artists-in-residence are:

• Sam Wu, concert composer- Feb. 2026
• Stephanie Potter Corwin, multidisciplinary digital artist - June 2026
• Tanya Wischerath, painter and tattoo artist - Oct.-Nov. 2026

Sam Wu will host the year's first Artist-in-Residence program on Friday, Feb. 13 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale. This program is open to the public.

About the Zion Artist-in-Residence Program

Since the program's inception, the park has hosted a wide spectrum of artists from across the United States. Zion provides housing for a one month, highly independent residency. Resident artists will:

• Present two public programs tailored to their medium, interest, experience, and audience.
• Host periodic, open studio hours to interact with visitors.
• Submit an original piece of work within six months of leaving Zion.

This art helps visitors understand and appreciate Zion and reflects the National Park Service's mission to conserve the park's landscapes, plants, animals, and history.

Art pieces may be placed in the park's permanent museum and interpretive collections, or they may be used to financially support the Artist in Residence Program in partnership with the Zion Forever Project.
