KILLEEN, Texas (October 2, 2025) - The City of Killeen's Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday, Nov. 1, beginning at 8 a.m. at Stonetree Golf Club (1600 Stonetree Drive). The race is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series and raises funds to support the Killeen Food Care Center.
Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to run or walk the course. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group as well as the overall winners.
"The Turkey Trot is a great way to start the season of giving while also promoting the value of recreation in our community," said Alaciel Maldonado, Recreation Coordinator and event organizer for the Cen-Tex Race Series. "Running brings people together, builds healthy habits, and supports an important cause that provides food for families in need."
