Dublin, 10 March 2026 - Greystar, a global leader in the investment, development and management of high-quality rental housing, today announces the expansion of its third-party property management business in Ireland through the integration of MD Property & Living, the Dublin-based residential property services business. Founder and CEO Mark Dunleavy will lead Greystar's dedicated third-party property management business in Ireland.
Greystar has been active in Ireland since 2019 and today manages approximately 850 apartments and 1,700 student beds across the country. The company has delivered communities such as Dublin Landings, Griffith Wood and Brickfield Square, and invested in purpose-built student accommodation assets including Point Campus and Mayor Square in Dublin and CĂșirt na Coiribe in Galway.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Dublin, MD Property & Living manages around 3,800 apartments. The business employs 38 people and provides advisory, leasing, property and financial management services across Ireland. It has built a strong reputation for regulatory expertise and has long-standing relationships within the Irish market.
The integration establishes a dedicated third-party property management business in Ireland, operating alongside Greystar's existing investment, development and property management activities. It reflects the company's global focus on serving investors and asset owners through third-party property management and forms part of its broader European strategy to scale the platform across multiple markets. Greystar currently operates more than 70,000 apartments and student beds across eight European markets.
Claire Solon, Managing Director - Ireland, Greystar, said: "Ireland is a market where we have steadily built our presence through investment, development and property management over the past several years. Integrating MD Property & Living into Greystar strengthens that platform in a way that is firmly rooted in local expertise while contributing to our broader plans across Europe.
"This step allows us to expand our third-party property management capability at a time when standards, transparency and long-term stewardship are increasingly important in Ireland. By combining MD Property & Living's deep understanding of the local market with our wider experience, we are positioning ourselves to grow responsibly and to continue playing a constructive role in the Irish rental housing sector."
Bobby Faith, Managing Director - Third-Party Property Management, Greystar, added: "Our approach to expanding third-party property management in Europe is deliberate and selective. We look to bring together businesses that are already respected in their local markets and have demonstrated consistent operating discipline over time.
"MD Property & Living has built exactly that kind of platform in Ireland. Bringing the business into Greystar strengthens our presence in a market where we already operate, while supporting the continued development of our European third-party property management business."
Mark Dunleavy, Founder and CEO of MD Property & Living, said: "For more than twenty years, MD Property & Living has evolved alongside Ireland's institutional rental market, building a platform grounded in regulatory discipline, client alignment and operational depth.
"Joining Greystar allows us to accelerate that trajectory. With long-term backing and access to global expertise, we can continue scaling in Ireland while maintaining the standards, culture and client focus that define our business."
Greystar currently manages approximately 1.1 million homes and beds globally, the majority on behalf of third-party clients, and has more than three decades of experience operating rental housing across market cycles.
