The OSU-Tulsa Auditorium in North Hall is currently under construction for a more than half-million-dollar renovation project that will restore and revitalize the 376-seat event space. The renovations are scheduled for completion this fall.
The auditorium serves as the premier venue for campus, corporate and community events, offering a large, versatile space with modern amenities. The event space is designed with acoustic performance in mind, with a full stage, recently updated audiovisual equipment and balcony seating. The auditorium has been used for everything from lectures and corporate seminars to local talent shows and international film festivals.
"We want the best, updated, modern facilities for our campus and our community to utilize - and that means some construction as we grow," said Craig Freeman, OSU-Tulsa vice provost and dean of the College of Professional Studies. "You've probably seen a lot of construction on campus in the past couple years, and that's a good sign. We're growing, improving and investing back in our classrooms and event spaces so they can continue to be appealing and serviceable for years to come."
The renovations to the 30-year-old venue will refresh the space for modern standards, bringing new floors and paint, as well as updates to the lobby and bathrooms. New seating with built-in desk space is planned to allow the auditorium to be more easily utilized as a classroom and community space.
Other spaces within the OSU-Tulsa Conference Center are also under renovation at this time, such as the 44-person Bank of Oklahoma Room just across the courtyard from the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium, a popular rental space for corporate and community events.
While renovations are ongoing, the auditorium will not be available for use. Community members interested in reserving a space on the OSU-Tulsa campus can contact the OSU-Tulsa Events team for other arrangements.
