Prime Minister’s greetings to Austria celebrating National Day

Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė is sending a message of greetings, on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, to Austria celebrating its National Day.

'Lithuania highly values the friendly relations between our countries and our close cooperation within the European Union. I am confident that together we will continue to strengthen our partnership - from economic and cultural ties to our shared commitment to a secure, democratic, and sustainable Europe. In this regard, the unity of the European Union in addressing climate goals and ensuring energy security remains of particular importance.

At a time when the foundations of peace and international law are being challenged, our unity and determination to stand with Ukraine in its heroic defence against Russia's aggression remain vital. Only by standing together can we safeguard the values that underpin our freedom and the stability of our continent,' reads the message of greetings from the Head of the Government.
