Lake O Fact Check: No Impact from a Rock Mine

The sugar industry claims that the Southland Rock mine-proposed to be built just 1,000 feet from the EAA Reservoir which is the single most important project for Everglades restoration- would not have a negative impact on our restoration efforts.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, however, has a different perspective. There are real, credible concerns about this mine that must be addressed.
