Sonoma Raceway and the City of Elk Grove will host a Championship Parade celebrating 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Champion and Elk Grove native Kyle Larson on Friday, November 14, in his hometown. Fans are invited to join Larson, his family, and the community for a special day of celebration honoring his incredible 2025 season and remarkable racing career. The parade will be immediately followed by a ceremony at Old Town Plaza in downtown Elk Grove. The event is open and free to the public.
The parade will begin at Boulevard Bistro (8941 Elk Grove Blvd) and travel east along Elk Grove Boulevard before making a slight right onto Railroad Street, concluding at Old Town Plaza (9615 Railroad Street, Elk Grove). Spectators are encouraged to line the parade route to cheer on their hometown hero as he celebrates his second NASCAR Cup Series Championship with family, friends, and fans.
Map of parade route is below:
Larson, who drives the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, captured his second NASCAR Cup Series title this season, adding to his first championship in 2021. His third-place finish at Phoenix Raceway was enough to secure the crown as the top finisher among the Championship 4 contenders-Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Chase Briscoe, and Larson. The victory also marked Rick Hendrick's 15th Cup Series title as a team owner, a testament to the dominance of the Hendrick Motorsports organization.
For Larson, the celebration represents more than just another trophy-it's a homecoming. Growing up in Elk Grove, Larson spent his childhood attending races at Sonoma Raceway (then Sears Point International Raceway) with his family, dreaming of one day racing there himself. That dream became reality, and Larson has since become one of the most successful drivers in Sonoma Raceway history. He has claimed two Toyota/Save Mart 350 victories (2021 and 2024) and earned five consecutive pole awards between 2017 and 2022, showcasing his skill on the challenging 1.99-mile road course.
In recognition of his accomplishments and continued impact on the sport, the City of Elk Grove officially declared November 22 as "Kyle Larson Day." The upcoming parade and community celebration will give fans an opportunity to show their support for one of Northern California's greatest racing ambassadors.
Looking ahead, Larson will return to Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 28, 2026, as part of the annual NASCAR weekend in wine country. The event weekend will also feature the ARCA Menards Series West race on Friday, June 26, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, June 27. Fans can look forward to an exciting weekend of racing action, with tickets for children ages 12 and under priced at just $10 for Sunday's Cup race and free admission for Friday and Saturday's events.
Tickets for all 2026 NASCAR weekend events, including individual race tickets, weekend packages, and camping options, are available now at SonomaRaceway.com.
