ANACOM´s Conference "Artificial Intelligence - The Challenges of Innovation and Regulation="">https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1812398" will take place on 19 September 2025 at the Museu do Oriente, in Lisbon. The event promises a broad reflection on the challenges, trends and opportunities that Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents to regulators, the economy and society.

The conference will feature sessions on both national and international AI regulation, addressing global trends, regulatory models, and the expected impacts on society and the economy.

Throughout the day, the event will also highlight the role of AI in technological and business innovation, bringing together representatives from various entities to discuss practical applications, new solutions, and growth strategies driven by the adoption of AI.

The programme includes keynote speeches by Audrey Plonk (OECD) and Raquel Brízida Castro (ANACOM), aimed at promoting the sharing of knowledge and experiences among regulators, businesses, and the academic community.

With this initiative, ANACOM aims to contribute to a broader reflection on the importance of ensuring the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, while also maximising the opportunities for innovation and economic development that technology offers.

The conference will close with addresses by Sandra Maximiano (Chairwomen of ANACOM's Board of Directors) and Miguel Pinto Luz (Minister for Infrastructure and Housing), following what is expected to be a day rich in knowledge-sharing and constructive debate on the future of regulation in the context of digital transformation.
