"These are the decisions that the European People's Party, of which Tisza is also a member, adopted. This is their strategy, these are their goals. Whoever is a member of the People's Party lends their name to this programme. No one should have any doubt: Tisza - even if they wanted to - cannot stay out of this," the Prime Minister said.
In the video, the Prime Minister also recalled that the European People's Party held a leader-level meeting in Zagreb last week where they adopted two decisions.
"One of them is that the veto rights of Member States should be taken away in Brussels decisions, while the other one is that the European Union should be turned into a military alliance," he said, adding that this in itself would not be such a big problem as they are free to decide what they like.
"The problem is that the Hungarian opposition's largest party, Tisza, belongs to the European People's Party. This decision will also have effects on Hungary. Whatever Tisza may say, the truth is that they want to take our veto rights away, and for this they have also found a candidate for foreign minister. [Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter] Szijjártó would rather have his head cut off than yield an inch on national interests. The lobbyists imported from Brussels or brought home from London by Tisza don't want to, but in actual fact can't say no in a situation like this," Mr Orbán stressed in the video.
