Tampa, Fla. - July 31, 2026 - Bryant Miller Olive P.A. (BMO) is pleased to announce that Jennifer R. Cown, Esq., Chair of the firm's Government Counsel Services (GCS) practice group, has been appointed to serve as a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) panel.
TCRP is a division of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and is sponsored by the Federal Transit Administration; serving as one of the principal means by which the public transportation industry develops innovative, near-term, and practical solutions to meet demands placed on public transportation systems.
Ms. Cowan is board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of City, County and Local Government Law. Her practice includes representing counties, cities and special districts in all manner of legal matters. Specifically, she serves as general counsel to a transit authority, City Attorney, general counsel to a major deep-water seaport, and general counsel to other special districts. Ms. Cowan also serves as Special Counsel to local governments throughout the state. Ms. Cowan advises public clients in matters including corporate governance, land use, public procurement, ethics, public records, Sunshine Law, and real property issues.
