Information on the solar eclipse
A partial solar eclipse will be visible in Luxembourg on 12 August 2026, starting at 19:20. During the event, reduced illumination and lower visual contrast may be experienced, which could particularly affect VFR operations, low-level flights, and helicopter activities. Pilots are advised to exercise increased vigilance, especially if the eclipse coincides with overcast skies or marginal weather conditions, as visibility may be further degraded. No airspace restrictions are expected in connection with this event.
