On June 3, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to exchange views on bilateral relations and regional situation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed his warm regards and best wishes to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, fondly recalled the fruitful outcomes of his recent visit to China and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm and friendly reception from the Chinese side. He said Pakistan looks forward to accelerating the implementation of the high-level consensus and practical outcomes reached during the visit, building an upgraded version 2.0 of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, deepening the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China, delivering greater benefits to the two peoples, and jointly safeguarding the regional peace and stability.
Ambassador Jiang congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz on his successful visit to China. He stated that China stands ready to work with Pakistan to implement important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries. Taking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity, both sides will carry forward traditional friendship, expand practical cooperation, deepen security cooperation, strengthen multilateral coordination, and accelerate the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
