Road Work Alert: Street Resurfacing Project

Slurry sealing work on various city streets scheduled for April 15-17

Post Date:03/30/2026 5:00 p.m.

The City of Mountain View will make improvements to numerous streets in mid-April as part of the City's SB-1 Street Resurfacing Project.

To improve the appearance and condition of the streets, a "slurry seal" will be applied to the roadways. A slurry seal is made up of asphalt and finely crushed rock, which helps protect streets from damage caused by traffic and weather.

Pending weather conditions or other circumstances, the street improvement project will take place on Wednesday, April 15, through Friday, April 17. The streets scheduled to receive the pavement maintenance treatment are:

Wednesday, April 15

  • Appletree Lane (entire street)
  • Lola Lane (Began Avenue to Montalto Drive)
  • Fordham Way (Meadow Lane to 1501 Fordham Way)
  • Fordham Court
  • Chiquita Avenue (south end to Latham Street)
  • Portion of Moffett Boulevard and Central Avenue intersection

Thursday, April 16

  • Fordham Way (1501 Fordham Way to Barbara Avenue)
  • Barbara Avenue and Montalto Drive intersection
  • Boranda Avenue (El Camino Real to Maple Court)
  • Chiquita Avenue (south end to Latham Street)
  • Chiquitta Avenue (521 Chiquita Avenue to California Street)
  • Villa Street and Escuela Avenue intersection
  • Portion of Moffett Boulevard and Central Avenue intersection

Friday, April 17

  • Boranda Avenue (Maple Court to Hans Avenue)
  • Lola Lane (Barbara Avenue to Montalto Drive)
  • Burgoyne Street and San Ramon Avenue intersection
  • Wyandotte Street and Independence Avenue intersection
  • Portion of Moffett Boulevard and Central Avenue intersection

Be aware that the roads will be closed to traffic and traffic flow will be affected while the slurry sealing work is underway. "No Parking" signs will be posted when work is scheduled to be completed, and traffic will be limited from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the day of application.
