The City of Greensboro's Community Safety Department (CSD) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to provide reentry, trauma healing, and community violence intervention services during the City's fiscal year 2026-2027. Funding is provided through the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance Community Violence, Intervention, and Prevention Initiative site-based grants.
Proposals are due by 5 pm on Friday, August 21.

The CSD takes a holistic, collaborative approach to improving Greensboro's public safety through community-centered prevention initiatives, crisis intervention services to help de-escalate violence, and long-term, intensive case management for individuals whose issues-such as mental health, substance use, and homelessness-have put them in frequent contact with law enforcement.
