SRBC Holds Business Meeting in Bloomsburg, PA


HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) held its quarterly business meeting in Bloomsburg, Pa. on September 16th, 2026. Among its actions, the Commission:

  • adopted a preliminary FY2028 budget;
  • adopted the member jurisdiction allocation requests for FY2028;
  • approved a Memoradum of Understanding with the Maryland Department of the Environment;
  • approved a grant agreement with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation;
  • adopted a Sustainable Water Resources Fund Policy (Resolution 2026-07); and
  • acted on 15 regulatory program water projects, tabling one.

The voting Commissioners and alternates were Matthew Rowe, Assistant Director, Water and Science Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment; Jill Whitcomb, Deputy Secretary, Office of Water Programs, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; Lauren Townley, Chief, Water Assessment and Implementation Section, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; and Colonel Francis B. Pera, District Commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
