"We are incredibly proud that GHP plans have earned 4.5-Star Ratings from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for our Medicare plans," said Karen Murphy, Ph.D., RN, president of Geisinger Health Plan. "This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, healthcare and continuously improving the health and well-being for the members we serve we serve. This is another testament to the dedication of our entire team."
NCQA Medicare Health Plan Ratings 2025 are based on 2024 data. Plans were rated on a scale of zero to five Stars, with five being the highest Rating. NCQA rated almost a thousand plans for measures in three categories:
• Patient experience
• Prevention and population
• Treatment
GHP rated 4.5 out of 5 Stars for both plans for the Diabetes category, the highest Ratings in Pennsylvania among Medicare plans. Within that category for both plans, GHP received 5 out of 5 Stars for Blood Pressure Control for Diabetes, the only 5-Star Ratings for that Medicare measure in the state.
More than 95,000 of Geisinger's 531,000 members have Medicare plans.
