SCC Schedules Public Hearing on Transmission Facilities in Charlottesville and Albemarle

The State Corporation Commission will hold a hearing on October 22, 2026, to receive public testimony on a request by Dominion Energy for approval and certification of electric transmission facilities in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia.
The public hearing is scheduled in Charlottesville City Council Chambers at City Hall, 605 East Main Street in Charlottesville. The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. or until all registered public witnesses have testified.
Persons intending to testify as public witnesses should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the hearing and register with the Commission's bailiff. Witness statements will be limited to five minutes.
A telephonic public witness hearing in this case will be held November 10. The evidentiary hearing is scheduled for December 2 at the SCC building in Richmond. More information can be found through the SCC's website.
