WFTU Solidarity Visit in Palestine

A delegation of the Secretariat of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), led by General Secretary Pambis Kyritsis and Secretariat member Artur Sequeira, held an official solidarity visit to Palestine on 12-18 January, 2026. During its visit, the WFTU delegation carried out a series of activities and meetings with trade unions, officials, local authorities, and representatives of workers' and popular organizations. Moreover, the WFTU delegation visited several areas, workplaces, and refugee camps, and made multiple public statements and interviews.

Through its interventions, the WFTU sent strong messages in all directions, expressing in practice and in various ways its undivided solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people. At the same time, an opportunity was provided for a first-hand assessment and recording of the situation faced by the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing genocide committed by the murderous state of Israel. The information and documents available to the WFTU will be shared internationally through various events and actions.
