Winter Storm Watch in Effect

The Central Arkansas region is currently under a Winter Storm Watch. The forecast in the coming days calls for several inches of snow and ice and multiple days of below-freezing temperatures. Travel could potentially be impacted as early as Friday evening through the early part of next week. Timing and temperature shifts will affect our decisions as this system moves across the state. We will be monitoring all of this closely in the coming days.

We want to remind the UCA community of how to stay informed in the event of inclement weather or hazardous travel conditions. Please keep an eye on your UCA email as any changes to operations and other updates will be sent directly to all students, faculty, and staff. As always, we will make adjustments to operations to ensure that our students in residence halls and university apartments have access to essential services. We do encourage you to plan ahead for anything you may need during this time.

If a decision is made to alter operational hours of the university, an alert will be sent out via email from my office, as well as through the Safe@UCA app. Please be sure you are signed up for these alerts in advance of this potential weather event and other important communications.

We also encourage you to check our website at uca.edu as well as our social media pages for the latest information and updates. Please remain weather aware for the next few days. As always, be safe, and use your best judgment.
