Columbia Police respond to shots fired on Ridgemont Court

At about 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 18, Columbia Police responded to a shots-fired call at the 1400 block of Ridgemont Court. Officers arrived on the scene and located a male with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers provided medical treatment until emergency medical services arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. At this time, CPD has nobody in custody, but there is no known active threat to the community.
