We're building PhysicsX to redefine what's possible in industrial engineering.
Over the last two years, that ambition has grown quickly. Our models are tackling increasingly complex physics. Our platform is being deployed against some of the hardest problems in industry. And our customers are asking us to go deeper - across more of the engineering lifecycle, more applications, and more of their organizations.
Following our $300 million Series C, we have the opportunity to build at a completely different scale. Today, Dael Williamson joins PhysicsX as our Chief Technology and Platform Officer to help do exactly that.
Dael comes to PhysicsX from Databricks, where he served as EMEA CTO. During his time there, he scaled some of the company's key fast-growing product lines, including Lakeflow, AgentBricks, and Lakebase; led the ambition to bring Genie to one billion users; and drove the expansion of the broader product ecosystem. Before Databricks, Dael held senior technology leadership roles at Accenture's Microsoft Business Group and Avanade.
He is an engineer and scientist by training, with a deep passion for open source, interoperability, and complex systems. Dael began his career as a full-stack engineer and data scientist and is a published researcher in protein molecular modeling. That combination of building technology from first principles, turning it into products, and scaling those products to large organizations, is particularly relevant to what we're building at PhysicsX.
Dael joins the team to accelerate product development, scale our core capabilities, and drive engineering excellence, working closely with our Product leadership as we evolve the PhysicsX platform and the technical organization behind next-generation physics AI.
Dael Williamson, CTPO of PhysicsX:
"What drew me to PhysicsX is the scale of the mission, and the timing. AI is beginning to change how we create the physical world, and PhysicsX has the technology, team, and ambition to push that shift much further. We have an opportunity to build an entirely new class of engineering software, and ultimately give engineers capabilities that simply haven't existed before. I'm incredibly excited to get started."
Jacomo Corbo, CEO & Co-Founder of PhysicsX:
"We started PhysicsX because we believe AI can fundamentally reshape engineering and manufacturing. We're building a new engineering platform to enable that transformation across industrials. Doing that means building at extraordinary speed and scale. Dael is a builder - he's built AI products, scaled platforms, and worked deeply with customers on hard technology problems. I'm incredibly excited to have him with us for what comes next."
