Minister of Foreign Affairs joins a bilateral discussion between the Prime Minister and the President of the Philippines

On 26 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined a bilateral meeting between H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines, on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The President of the Philippines conveyed the Philippines' condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

Both sides reaffirmed the cordial relations between the two countries and agreed to further enhance cooperation at the bilateral level and within the ASEAN framework, as well as to pursue exchanges of visits at the earliest opportunity. Potential areas of cooperation include the export of Thai rice and agricultural products to the Philippines, investment, particularly in the energy sector, medical tourism, tourism development in secondary cities and digital economy. The Prime Minister also conveyed Thailand's full support for the role of the Philippines as the incoming ASEAN Chair in 2026.
