Can Credo Technology Stock Bounce Off Its Current Support

Credo Technology (CRDO) stock fell 28.4% from September 25 to October 26, 2026, while the S&P 500 slipped 0.8%. If you own it, the worry is how much lower it can go. The shares closed at $151.15, about half their June 22 high, and sit back near the price where they bounced twice in late 2025. So what happened each time Credo stock came back to this price?

Credo Stock Has Bounced And Broken At This Price

Credo stock bounced twice from near today's price, beginning on October 17 and November 24, 2025. Following each bounce, the best close was the June 22, 2026 high, which more than doubled the starting price. Before reaching that peak, the shares first fell to $87.81 on March 30, 2026, dropping about 40% below both starting points. Those rallies paid off only for holders who sat through that drop first.

A stricter test tells a less flattering story. Counting only drops into this price from above, Credo stock returned to this level six times since October 21, 2024. Three of those visits ended with the shares falling 5% before they could gain 20%, while two visits achieved the 20% gain first. The downward breaks followed the visits on September 24, 2025, November 11, 2025, and January 14, 2026. The two visits that went the other way occurred on May 18 and September 14, 2026, with each gaining 20% within a week. The latest visit started on October 23, 2026, and has reached neither mark yet.

What A Bounce Could Make On $10,000

If Credo stock climbs back to its overhead resistance, a price where rallies stalled twice before, a $10,000 investment made today would be worth about $12,470. This represents a smaller gain than the typical past bounce from this price, which would have turned the same $10,000 into about $20,790 at its best close, the June 2026 high. Reaching that peak required holding through the March 2026 low first. On the way up, the shares would pass two prices where single rallies previously stalled, sitting 6.8% and 14.0% above today's price. Even the smaller gain is not a given: more visits to this price broke down than bounced, and Credo recorded a thinner operating margin in its latest quarter.

Level Price From today
Resistance: rallies stalled here 2 times $188.41 24.7% higher
Today $151.15 Reference price
Support is broken below $143.59 5.0% lower
Next support below $134.13 11.3% lower

Is Credo's Business Strong Enough For A Bounce?

Credo is still growing fast. The company reported revenue of $479 million in fiscal Q1 2027, up 114.7% from a year earlier. On the September 1, 2026 call, management said the optical DSP business and the retimer business both delivered record revenue in the quarter. Management also expects more than 85% revenue growth for fiscal 2027, alongside a second-half pickup driven by more than $600 million in optical revenue. Investors are also paying far less for each dollar of earnings than they did a year ago: the shares traded at 67.3 times twelve-month earnings at the end of September 2026, against 200.1 a year earlier.

The catch is the profit on those sales. Credo posted an operating margin of 36.8% in fiscal Q3 2026 and 35.7% in fiscal Q4. The margin then fell to 25.2% in fiscal Q1 2027, marking the lowest level of the last five quarters. Sales also remain concentrated: management said the largest customer made up 33% of fiscal Q1 revenue, and the second largest accounted for 28%.

Credo needs to show that its fast growth still turns into profit. Management guided fiscal Q2 2027 revenue to $525 million to $535 million. When the company reports in early December 2026, Credo's operating margin on those sales is the number to watch.

Does This Mean You Should Act On CRDO?

Our purpose is to inform you with unique data so you make the right investment decisions. That said, betting on a single stock is always risky, no matter which direction you choose.

There is a smarter approach. Since its inception, the Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio has returned 105%, beating the benchmark that combines the three major indices - the S&P 500, the S&P MidCap 400 and the Russell 2000. And it did so without taking the concentrated risk that comes with do-it-yourself stock picking. If that is how you want to invest, the HQ Portfolio is the place to start.
