Benton County Man Sentenced to More Than 17 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Trafficking

FAYETTEVILLE - A Benton County man was sentenced to 210 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release, for Possession with the Intent to Distribute More Than 50 Grams of Methamphetamine. The Honorable Chief District Judge Timothy L. Brooks presided over the October 8, 2026, sentencing hearing, which took place in the United States District Court in Fayetteville.

According to court documents, On January 21, 2025, Task Force Officers with the DEA arrested Jason Voyles, age 50, for possessing approximately 150 grams of methamphetamine following an investigation that began in late 2024. On June 30, 2025, Voyles was arrested again following a traffic stop in Lowell, where Voyles was found to be a felon in possession of a loaded firearm in his waistband, as well as methamphetamine. On March 11, 2026, Voyles pleaded guilty to Possession with the Intent to Distribute More Than 50 Grams of Methamphetamine. According to court documents, Voyles has an extensive criminal history, including prior convictions for drug trafficking out of Arkansas and Texas.

United States Attorney Kevin R. Holmes of the Western District of Arkansas made the announcement. The Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms and Explosives, Bella Vista Police Department, Lowell Police Department and Department of Corrections investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney David Harris prosecuted the case.
