Driver Killed In Friday Night Crash on Springfield Highway
The driver of a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck has died following Friday's 8 p.m. crash with a Subaru Forrester in the 1400 block of Springfield Highway.
The preliminary investigation indicates the 50-year-old Chevrolet driver, from Adairville, Kentucky, was traveling northbound, when for reasons unknown, he crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic and struck the Subaru.
Both vehicles had significant front-end damage. There were no indications of impairment on part of either driver.
The Chevrolet driver was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. Efforts are underway to notify his family.
The 26-year-old Subaru driver was also transported to Skyline with critical injuries.
